Once you realize that you simply need to rid your life of those who only bring negativity, everything starts going the way it should. Don’t hold onto someone that has hurt you and doesn’t deserve you. Believe me, I’ve been there and it’s just hell. I thought I still needed him in my life but it was actually that I wasjust stuck on the familiarity. Anyone who treats or makes you feel any less than you are, isn’t worth it. It’s so cliche, but once a cheater, always a cheater. As much as you want to believe they’ll change or however much you love them and want to see the best in them, they clearly weren’t thinking that much of you when they did what they did. Live and let be. Be free and enjoy your life. You are worth so much and don’t ever let anyone make you feel differently. Shit happens, life moves on. Let the past make ya better, not bitter.

This wall is what keeps my family and friends apart. This wall is what creates fear in my community. This wall kills me every single day. This wall is hate.

most Americans don’t understand what and how this wall destroys communities and peoples lives.
this wall is violence and hate.
my friends and i live in one of the most policed regions of the United States. yet, San Diego is sold as a sunny tourist town. in fact, as i sit in my home and type, police helicopters are flying overhead patrolling…and reminding us that they are here…reminding us that they currently control the skies along with the streets… the border patrol too makes itself known by blocking our freeways and asking for identification, having computers take pictures of our cars, and asking us where we were born or from…they are looking, looking for Brown bodies or bodies that don’t fit the ideals of White Supremacy. it reminds me how the people of color, queers, trans, and female body is policed…we also have the military in almost every part of our city… war and it’s machines are a daily reminder of where we are…
i can walk to the end of my street which is on a hill and see battleships being bult by a defense contrator. i look slightly farther to the left and i can see Mexico. if i look to the far right i can see one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the city…
down the street the homeless are made to be invisible, but they stay under the freeway bridges only blocks away, because they know they wont be harassed by police or other people looking for trouble…
my neighborhood has so many contradictions. i live in a war zone, but you would never know it by the way many people act… these contradictions resemble the city of San Diego and they resemble the violence of that wall only 15mins away from me…
